Hi! I’m Kaia.
I’m an 18-year-old student who’s currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing. I am a creative individual with a fashion-oriented eye for innovation, photography, and visual arts. Ever since I could remember, I have been fascinated with capturing the beauty of the world around me in any way possible. I started creating work more seriously when I was 10 and have experimented with every medium i could get my hands on. My favorites are acrylic and graphite because I love to play with color theory and explore shading, value, and shadow. I have a special place in my heart for portraits, as there is so much to discover when capturing the nuances of human expression.
Through my studies, I have completed honors-level courses in public speaking, strategic communication, and creative conceptualization to master communicating through the arts. These courses have given me tangible experience creating mock-up ads and digital designs for various companies. Part of a multi-cultural international family, I have had the blessing of traveling to cities such as Barcelona, Malaga, Paris, Frankfurt, London, and Lisbon to broaden my perspective of the world and study art as it’s expressed across cultures. I am so grateful for all of my mentors over the years who have helped me to understand what it means to be an artist: my teachers at Notre Dame Preparatory High School and the University of Florida, instructors at Creative Color Art Studios, and professors at the Interlochen Center for the Arts, where I completed the Summer Visual Arts program.
As I move forward, my intention is to blend my interest in Marketing and Entrepreneurship with my passion for the arts to produce creatively compelling and visually engaging content. I aim to make that dream a reality by pursuing experiential learning opportunities such as internships and study abroad initiatives that further my professional development and personal growth.
If you’re interested in a commissioned piece, I’d love to hear from you!
